How can I apply to attend a COV workshop?

posted Jan 13, 2009 12:26 PM by Wesley Fryer   [ updated May 29, 2009 9:42 AM ]
Online applications are used for Celebrate Oklahoma Voices workshops, using Google Forms. Participants from each hosting site / school are required to complete the online registration form at least one week prior to the start of the workshop. IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE IN THE WORKSHOP (seats are available not taken by the hosting school) then individual teachers can apply to participate. The cost to attend a COV phase 1 workshop is $520 per person. (This is equivalent to per-educator costs for hosting organizations. See this FAQ for details.) This cost includes the "digital backpack" equipment, which will be ordered for participants following the workshop and receipt of payment. To sign up:
  1. Contact Wesley Fryer and confirm, via email, that workshop space(s) are open for the date and location you want to attend. In your email indicate how many spots you would like to reserve.
  2. Complete the online registration form which Wesley will provide to you via email. Each participant must submit the form to register.
  3. Payment of $520 per person is due on or before day 1 of the workshop. Purchase orders and checks can be mailed in advance. On day 1 of the workshop, participants NOT from the hosting school / organization must provide a check or purchase order for the full amount of the workshop fee.
Everyone is welcome to join our learning community and check the forum posts for information about upcoming workshops. A list of COV workshops scheduled in 2009 is available.

Note all COV workshops do not have open enrollment for individual educators. If organizational workshops are not full (with 25 participants) some slots may be available for individual applications. Contact Wesley Fryer to confirm if seats are available for the session you want to attend.
