Covenant Mennonite Fellowship Covenant Mennonite Fellowship   Keith Gerber has been named our congregational advocate for James Miller III, who will be leaving for Albany, Oregon in August on a nine-month assignment with Service Adventure, a Mennonite Missions Network service program designed for young adults. James will be serving in a retirement community and will participate in congregational life at Albany Mennonite Church. Keith will serve as a liaison between James and our congregation, helping the rest of us find ways to support James from a distance. Thanks to Keith for serving in this role, and to James for giving nine months to service in Albany!  Gail Pentz is completing the process of compiling a short history of CMF and is looking for your input. We want to hear your comments, memories, anecdotes, high points, or testimonials from over the years that you have attended Covenant Mennonite Fellowship, even before it was incorporated in 2000. We are looking for shorter comments, from several sentences to several paragraphs. The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2012. You can send him your name and contact information by email at reakei2@aol.com.  Our 9:30 a.m. Adult Study is being discontinued for a time. We are exploring other potential format for Sunday morning prior to worship for the near future.  Are you looking for a way to serve at CMF? We need one person to help with the typing, printing and delivery of the bulletin. We’re also looking for 2-3 teams of two to serve as Sunday morning hosts who can open the building, tidy up, make coffee and welcome attenders. Neither of these roles requires a significant time commitment and both are meaningful ways to serve. If you’re interest in either of these supportive roles, please see Jim Miller for more information.    CMF held its first worship service as a corporate body on June 18, 2000. On June 17, 2012, we will celebrate our 12th anniversary as a congregation. Mark your calendar for this special time of remembering during our worship service, and bring a dish to share for a potluck meal following the service. Please join us for an open house in honor of our son, Alex Miller, who will be graduating from Sarasota High School on June 1. The open house is at our home – 5611 Eastwind Drive, and scheduled from 4-7:00 pm on Sunday, June 3.
