FINALLY we got a quorum on
the updated CC&Rs. It only took us a
whole year! Thanks to everyone who sent
in a ballot. We received a total of 82
votes—77 “yes” and 5 “no.” No abstentions. So we now have our new CC&Rs in place,
and as soon as our attorney goes over them one last time, we'll send them out
to all owners. |

One of our neighbors experienced a home burglary on Saturday, Nov.
5th. The residents believe someone entered their unlocked front door and
removed cash from a purse that was sitting next to the front door. The resident had just left for a walk and another resident was upstairs while this happened. They think that someone was watching the unit and saw the resident leave. A police report has been filed.
Our neighborhood is relatively safe, but please be diligent! Keep your doors locked and don't give thieves an easy opportunity.

Our landscape architects, Quadriga, will be roaming the neighborhood after dark to study the lighting
quality. They will wear "Quadriga" logos on their clothing and
carry business cards. |

We do not yet have enough votes on the revised CC&Rs
to constitute a quorum. If you have not returned the ballot that you
received in the mail, please do so right away. If you've lost your
ballot, please ask Scott or a Board member for another. If we don't get
enough votes, we'll come knocking—extra work for us, extra trouble for
you.
The Board members have invested considerable time and effort in
preparing a revised set of governing documents that is up-to-date, both
in terms of California law and the standards presently applicable to
California community associations. These documents, if passed, will
serve as an effective guide for owners and the Boards of Directors for
many years to come.

a few homeowners have reported their cars being broken into. Remember to report these incidents, not only to the HOA, but to the Davis Police. Help keep our neighborhood safe.

We had an apparently deliberate hit and run on Saturday night (5/21) around
10 pm, in which someone rammed a vehicle in a covered parking space. If
you saw anything, please contact Julie Cross and she'll put you in touch with the
proper people.
The Board hopes you'll join us at the Homeowner's Annual Meeting tomorrow
night, Tuesday, May 24. We'll have a potluck starting at 6:30 p.m., followed
by a business meeting at 7:30 p.m., and our regular Board Meeting immediately
after. We'll meet in the pool area, weather permitting. |

Hi Friends and Neighbors - We had a house egged last night. We had a rash
of this last summer that we believe was connected to a dispute between
former neighbors, and suspect this is more of the same.
If you notice suspicious behavior, particularly very late night/early
morning, please give the Davis Police a call.
If you're calling while people are skulking around, dial 911. If you're
calling to report something you saw that is now over, call the
non-emergency number, 530-747-5400.
Thanks for your help on this! |
