 Red Ribbon Week October 27-31
During the week of October 27th, the History of the Red Ribbon Campaign as well as short quotations will be presented to the students of George West Junior High.
Monday – Red Ribbon Awareness Day · Wear Red Ribbons · Hear the story behind Red Ribbon Week · Receive Activity books
Tuesday – Erase Drugs from Your Life · Students will receive erasers · Students will receive tobacco information
Wednesday – Red Day · Contest for those that wear the most Red. Teachers will send names down for the students who have the most red on. They will receive a Big Red and Big Red gum.
Thursday – Boot Out Drugs/Kick the Cowboys · Everyone wears boots · Judging of the door decorating contest. The winner will be announced at the assembly on Friday.
Friday – Draw the Line Against Drugs/Scare Drugs Away/School Spirit Day · Students receive pencils · Wear school spirit shirts · Wear Halloween Costumes (No colored/dyed hair, no face paint, no masks that cover the face. Costumes must be appropriate – no cleavage showing and must meet the dress code length requirement.) |
