Fall marks the year with a season of change.  Join us this September as we make changes to our worship service that reflect a people of God seeking to bring Him a pleasing and acceptable worship.

Worship Training and Workshop

Led by Pastor Hong and the worship committee.  We ask that all of you stay after worship on September 5th to discuss some changes that will be made to the format of our worship service beginning September 12th.  We will not have Sunday School classes next Sunday in order that we ALL would come to the workshop.  We especially ask that all worship leaders, servers and choir be present.

Personal Testimony

We would like every member to give short (less than 5 minutes) testimonial/reflection/sharing of some sort.  The personal testimonial sign-up sheet is posted in the church office beside the Chairperson mailboxes.  Please sign up as soon as you can.  We will begin assigning dates shortly to cover every Sunday in the year.  Please see pastor if you have any questions or need  ideas, tips, and hints on personal testimonies.

Nominations Committee & Committee Chairpersons

The nominations committee will begin meeting next month (October) to discuss filling Committee Chairs and finding leadership within our faith community.  Many of the 3 year terms of our current positions will be coming to a close this year and we are looking for new persons full of vision, energy and commitment to take on leadership roles in our church.  Even if you don't want to be "in charge" and be a Committee Chairperson, please think about signing up to become part of a committee and get involved.  Please take this month to pray that God would reveal his plan for you in His Ministry here at CUC.  Committee responsibilities and expectations can be found in our current United Methodist Guidelines.  They are available in the church office to look at.  You can request a copy of individual guidelines for specific committees and ministries to be emailed to you.  Please send requests to cosmopolitanunitedchurch@gmail.com.  "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.  There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men... The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body.  So it is with Christ." 1 Corinthians 12:4-6,12.

We began midweek bible studies this past week.  If you missed it, please join us on September 22nd and every other Wednesday here at church at 7:00.  Please see Pastor for more details.
