The Cornelia Playground Committee is comprised of members of the Cornelia Elementary staff, parents, and community members. Because of the size of the funds required to replace the playground, the fundraising required for this project is being accomplished outside the regular fundraising efforts by the Cornelia PTO. We need the resources of our entire community to achieve this goal, and the results will be appreciated by the entire community for many years to come. We will be looking to fund the new playground from several sources: -Corporate Sponsorships -Grants -Direct donations from individuals and families in the Cornelia Community -Contributions from the Cornelia Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) Ready to donate now? Click below to donate securely! We are requesting this donation on behalf of Cornelia Elementary PTO in Edina, Minnesota. The PTO supports educational programs and strengthens the relationship between home and school at Cornelia Elementary School. The PTO is a tax-exempt entity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As such, contributions or gifts made to the PTO are considered tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are also looking for individuals to donate their time: -Participate in the fundraising process of corporate donations and grant writing. -Consider your community, alumni and business connections and contact the playground committee if there’s a source of money or a fundraiser that you think would work! -Get your kids and neighbors involved! If they are excited about the new playground, consider having a neighborhood event, bake sale or even a lemonade stand as a benefit for the playground!
