Darker than most double IPAs -- deep red and cloudy, with a short, frothy head. The grapefruit-and-grass aroma hits you like a fist, as does the first sip. It's not one-dimensional, though. A dry, caustic grapefruit bitterness is followed quickly by the beer's strong malt presence, and then by citrus, alcohol burn, and another dose of mouthpuckering bitterness that lasts and last. Serious business, this Resin.
