Ford Model A Tire Spoon and Flat Iron Set
Ford Model A Tire Spoon and Flat Iron Set
These 2 tire irons were standard issue tools sold with every Ford Model A automobile ever manufactured. Both irons are 10" long and were made to be used together to remove and install the slender Model A balloon tires. The tire spoon with the square cutout on the end for adjusting the braking system is clearly marked "FORD A." The flat iron is unmarked for some reason. The Marked iron was manufactured for The Ford Motor Company by The K. R. Wilson Company. These two have been together for a very long time stored in a crumbling to bits (and really dirty) cotton bag, which I've passed along to the compost pile. If you're lucky enough to own a Ford Model A and are looking for the basic tools, these two are a good start.
