Pliers Pendant 2
Pliers Pendant 2
Pendant made from a pair of steel antique watchmaker's pliers, silver, black CZ and Padparascha sapphire. The sapphire is tension-set, using the tensioning mechanism the watchmaker would have used to hold items being worked on. In order to prevent the tensioning ring from slipping, it is held in place by two tube rivets, set with stones. I have no idea about the age of the pliers, but they appear to have been hand-forged from steel which shows the ripple patterns of earlier steels. They are probably French, as they are stamped with ...ier FONDU (the first part of the first word is missing: “Plier”?). The chain is an old one which I normally wear myself and is just for show.
Leatherman Crunch pliers
Leatherman Crunch pliers
My Leatherman "Crunch" tool. I can honestly say that I use this at least once a day. It's very handy having a set of locking pliers with you at all times.
