As some of your may know I have a fetish for some weird stuff. I collect weird things such as fountain pens, cell phones, Transformer toys, movies... and the list goes on. But the above photo features actual useful stuff I collect. Not all are pictured, just some of my favorites that I occasionally swap out from time to time. If you don't know EDC stands for "Every Day Carry". I only carry three of these tools with me at a time and I throw some others into my BOB (Bail Out Bag) just in case. Just roll over to see what they are. I currently carry the Kershaw RAM, Victorinox Spirit and the Surefire Z2 light. My custom made flashlight pouch will carry every single one of those lights but only a few fit just right. I just ordered a Novatac 120T light which has yet to come :) The multitools have been the most useful. Each one has around 15-23 tools hidden within the handles along with pliers. They feature phillips/flathead screwdrivers, pliers, serrated knives, plain edge knives, bottle/can openers, awls, wire strippers/crimpers....well you get the idea. My pocket knife is mainly for when I need just a quick knife for breaking down boxes or opening packages.... or lord forbid defending myself. Multitools are slow to deploy for self defense. I will use the lights for self defense as well, utilizing their extremely bright LED's to blind attackers. The LED's are so bright that they are useable in broad daylight! Several of them even have strobe modes to disorient a person. It's all part of non lethal combat, but if need to I will deploy the knife, I leave that as a last resort. While these are not essential for everyday but they have been used many times and have proven handy when needed!
