This adjustable wrench was made in the days when there was a big demand for horse shoes. It was made in USA and made to last. I have had it about 30 years and it was old when I got it. I use it a lot and usually carry it in the trunk of my 1947 Cushman scooter. It is probably much older than the scooter and my well have been used to work on one like that more than 60 years ago. With a little imagination, I can almost see it being used to tighten up the bolts on a buggy, or a Model A Ford. Did you notice the diamond and horseshoe logo at right? I can also imagine a tool salesman saying that with an adjustable wrench like this, you can throw away that old monkey wrench. Not surprisingly, I have several other 8 inch adjustable wrenches just like that only shinier. They have brand names like Craftsman, Crescent, and Fuller, and may also be marked "drop forged" or "Made in China."

Hopefully the ?1 coin reflects the size of these tools. The spanners are made by British company King Dick and the adjustable wrench manufactured by Crescent a North American firm. These tools are 30 years old and have seen some use. Quality products that have stood the test of time.
