 One type of cordless battery powered yard tool is the cordless battery powered lawnmower. These lawnmowers are low maintenance and you save money because you don't have to spend money on gas. These lawnmowers have more range then their corded counterparts because you don't have to worry about dragging a extension cord around your yard. A cordless battery powered lawnmower does not bag as well as a gas mower but it mulches just as well.
Another nice yard tool is the cordless battery powered weed wacker. Again this tool is easy to handle and there's no mixing gas and oil or dragging a extension cord around with you. A 18V battery will give you enough power you will need and they should last about 30 to 40 minutes. There is one brand out there called the worx that converts from a weed wacker to a edger in seconds. I own one of these and it is one of my favorite tools.
