About National Productivity Council (NPC), New Delhi

 Established as an autonomous body under the Societies Registration Act, 1958, National Productivity Council (NPC) has a tripartite character which is reflected in the 75-Member Council and 25-Member Governing Body where Government, Industry and Labour are equally represented.

 The NPC has its Headquarters at New Delhi and twelve Regional Directorates, two Regional Offices and two Training Institutes. It provides training, consultancy, research and information in the areas of productivity, industrial engineering, pollution prevention and control, human resource development and various other related fields. A Maintenance-cum-Training Centre has been built at Gandhi Nagar with the assistance of the Government of Gujarat.

India is a founder member of the Asian Productivity Organisation, Tokyo and NPC is nominated by Government to coordinate its programmes in India. These include workshops, surveys, seminars and trainings.
