CEDROME

Developing drought-resistant cereals to support efficient water use in the Mediterranean area
 
Project CEDROME (Contract number INCO-CT2005-015468) is supported by the FP6-2003-INCO-MPC2 programme of the European Commission and is aimed at reducing water consumption by improving drought-resistance of rice and durum wheat while maintaining yield stability. CEDROME is focussed on the Mediterrranean Partner Countries (MPC) region and includes Egypt, Morocco, Tunesia, three partners in China and four partners are in the UK, Italia, France and the Netherlands (Coordinator is Dr. P.B.F. Ouwerkerk at Leiden University).
