Final projects

Below is a listing of Final Projects with web-based components submitted in 2008 or earlier. For links to subsequent projects, see the tabs above for Final Projects 2009, Final Projects 2010, and Final Projects 2001.

Web-based final projects
EDUC 436/537 Technology Across the Curriculum

Here I have linked to the web-based final projects from the course. Please note that many outstanding projects were done in the course that were not web-based. I have posted these as a resource for other students in the program.

Google Lit trips-- a great interdisciplinary tool

Katie put together a terrific first draft of a Google Lit Trip based on the children's book Letters from Felix. In the book Felix, a stuffed rabbit, goes on a world tour and sends a letter back from each place. In this Lit Trip Katie takes us to the same places as in the book. Download the Google Earth KMZ file.

Jennnifer used Google Earth to create an informative tour of the continents with interesting facts and locations for each continent. Ideal for upper elementary geography. Download the Google Earth KMZ file.
Google Sketchup-- a great interdisciplinary tool

Laura showed us Google Sketchup, a tool for creating 3D versions of buildings and adding them to Google Earth. Australia and New Zealand schools are currently having a competition as to who can create the best "sketchup" of their school campus and post it online. Laura focused her work on possible uses of this tool to help the increasing number of students diagnosed with some form of autism.
