Perfect day today here on the South Island. On the drive back from Lake Tekapo the breeze dropped just long enough for me to jump out the car and grab some shots of the reflection on the lake - a minute later the wind came back and it was gone. Latin name :Bryoria fremontii I have been playing with this stuff for the last few weeks and finally got to making more food out of it. it condenses down quite a bit when you cook it. so what it in this picture was at one point about 2 gallons of uncooked lichen. Next time round I will get pictures of it before it has been cooked, and after for comparison.
