Dear Mr. Hull:

Thank you for contacting my office in regards to upholding conservative ideals.  I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me.  I value your views on the important issues facing our Commonwealth and the Nation.

Please be assured will continue to support and represent the conservative values and principles of the people in the First District of Virginia. One of my first actions as a Member of Congress was to join the Republican Study Committee (RSC).  The Republican Study Committee is a group of over 110 House Republicans organized for the purpose of advancing a conservative social and economic agenda in the House of Representatives.  I will continue to work with this group to ensure that commonsense conservative principles are well represented in the U.S. Congress. Additionally, as a member of the Values Action Team and the Pro-Life Caucus in the House of Representatives, I will continue to support pro-life, pro-family legislation.  I am committed to work hard for families in the First District by upholding family values. I believe our nation's laws must protect the vulnerable and the weak, whether they be elderly, disabled, or unborn.

I will uphold my strong opposition to legislation that will raise taxes for hardworking Americans. I support the Economic Growth Act, legislation that would provide broad, growth-oriented, permanent incentives for economic activity across all sectors and industries, with immediate application and sustained, long-term implications. We need to get back to the conservative principles of controlling spending. Furthermore, I strongly support America's service members and am committed to providing them with the tools and equipment necessary to defend and protect the Nation. As a gun owner and strong supporter of Second Amendment rights, I believe that the constitutional right to keep and bear arms must be diligently protected.

Thank you again for sharing your views and opinions with me.  I am committed to serving you to the best of my abilities.  If I can ever be of assistance to you or your family, please do not hesitate to call me at (202) 225-4261 or contact me online at: www.wittman.house.gov .

Sincerely,

Robert J. Wittman

Member of Congress
