Welcome to Construction Supervision The rapid changes in our workforce, machines, technology, regulations and law all have a huge impact on your job and its responsibility. One of the biggest changes to affect the U.S. construction market has been the vast change in the ethnic make-up of our workforce. In the past, Construction was traditionally seen as a white male-dominated industry. Not so any more. In many states Hispanic labor accounts for over 40% of the workforce. To better understand this shift, go to this link from The U. S Census Dept. Our industry needs to re-invent itself in the areas of training, quality, productivity and management. U.S. General George S. Patton Jr. probably said it best: "Success in high command is making plans that fit the circumstances. Failure in high command was caused by trying to make circumstances fit the plans." This web site needs you to contribute to the Forums. What's working for you? What are the Lessons Learned? How is your company dealing with problems in every area of Construction? | Dan Rooks My Other Sites Video |
