Pancake Supper The Missions Committee is sponsoring a “Pancake Supper” to be held on Wednesday, March 3rd from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. A free-will offering will be collected, and the funds will go to help with Summer Camp Scholarships for FPC participants to attend the Presbyterian Camp on Okoboji.
Christian Ed. Announces Spaghetti Benefit Dinner The Christian Education Committee is announcing a special benefit dinner to be held on Palm Sunday (March 28th), following the morning worship service. Proceeds from the dinner will go to fulfilling a “wish list” from our teachers, including furnishings and furniture for their classroom spaces. Watch for more information from Sunday School students as we get closer to the day.
One Great Hour Of Sharing Is March Mission Focus The Mission Focus in March will be The One Great Hour of Sharing Special Offering that is collected through the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Information about how funds from this offering will be used will be shared with the congregation during the Lenten Season. The offering will be collected on Easter Sunday (April 4th).

This month, we would like you to meet the Kevin and Stacy Beeghly family. They have two children: Jordyn who is 11 and Mason who is 6. They live north of Conrad on Highway 14. Kevin is the son of Ron and Dorothy Beeghly and grew up in Conrad. Stacy grew up in Waterloo. Kevin farms and Stacy is an LPN who currently is a stay-at-home mom, getting the opportunity to help with a variety of school and community activities.
Kevin enjoys golfing (when he gets time) while Stacy is into decorating her home, cooking, golf and spending time with friends and family. Their favorite place to get away is anywhere that is warm, but they especially enjoy the ocean. They are hoping to visit more states, including Viriginia, California and Georgia. A few little known facts about Stacy is that she likes to watch birds, listen to thunderstorms , the wind blowing in the trees and the smell of spring. They have several favorite movies, including “The Color Purple”, “Steel Magnolias”, and “Dead Poets Society”. They also listen to a wide variety of musical styles, although Kevin admits that he really enjoys country. In addition, they also love lots of different foods (Italian, Mexican, Chinese) and are not afraid to try new ones, especially if it means getting to go out to dinner with friends. Stacy says, “We are fun people. Life is too short to be grumpy. We try not to sweat the small stuff,. It doesn’t do to hold grudges. Enjoy a little bit of everyday. We are pretty easygoing people.”
They enjoy FPC because the congregation is very welcoming. They made us feel like a part of the church family. Take some time to meet and greet the Beeghly’s, and look for their pictures in the Fellowship Hall during the month of March.

Shoes for Haiti Program Coming March 14-28! Our Sunday School is heading up FPC’s effort to help with the relief work going on in Haiti following the devastating earthquake there last month. Starting on March 14th, we will be collecting new and gently used shoes through the Barefoot 4 Haiti Program of “Soles for Souls”. The collection will end on Palm Sunday – March 28th. “Barefoot Sunday” will be March 14th. Watch for more information! |
