These are words which should be read without sounding out.  Your child should be able to read them in any passage as the week progresses.

AR

Please make sure that your child is checking out AR books from the library and taking at least two tests a week.  This is a homework assignment, and I will check each Friday afternoon to make sure that he/she has done this.  This is so important in your child's reading progression.  Please encourage your child.

Odyssey

Your child may work on his/her Odyssey assignments at home.  To access his/her account type this address exactly   http://odyssey.polk-fl.net  .  If you type this address, make sure that you do not put www. at the beginning. Your child knows his/her user name and password.  Leave the word school on the last line of the sign in.   I grade a lot of the assignments in Odyssey.  So, this is an opportunity to help your child in school.  Please use this as a homework time.  You may want to schedule a daily time for your child to log on and do an assignment or two.
