Recently Renovated Jefferson Hotel Pride of Connie Milstein

After three years of intensive renovations, the historic, elegant and luxurious Jefferson Hotel in Washington, D.C. recently re-opened its doors. To celebrate the occasion Connie Milstein, the owner of the hotel hosted a party right out of the 18th century. Complete with doormen adorned in wig and wrap in Jeffersonian style, a painted scene from Jefferson's homestead, Monticello painted a wall of the restaurant, and even serving Jefferson's own favorite wine, Chateau d' Yquem, the party impressed guessed with the beauty of the hotel.

Well-known as the finest small hotel in the Washington area, there are 99 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, one of Washington's finest restaurants, and a fabulous spa which incorporates many of the botanicals found at Monticello into the treatments offered.

Located at the corner of 16th and M streets, the Jefferson Hotel, according to Connie Milstein, offers a great visit for its guests:

“What I love most about the hotel is that it has a homelike feeling,” she said. “It doesn’t feel like a hotel. It doesn’t feel like you’re checking into a strange place. … There’s a welcomeness about the building itself.”
