The Real Estate Board of New York was the original trade association in New York for realtors, founded in 1896. Members of the Board of REBNY are among New York’s most influential, talented, and motivated real estate professionals. As a member of the Board, Connie Milstein, who is also a lawyer, was approved for membership as all the other Governors, and now belongs to the unquestioned leading trade association in New York. Tirelessly working on improving, promoting and disseminating industry policies, the REBNY often sends speakers to government bodies to help stimulate New York’s economy so that the city’s commercial and residential real estate can share in the benefits, and help fuel the expansion and improvement of New York’s appeal. The REBNY also hosts a number of professional, continued education programs. Among them are courses required for state licensing which are state certified, free seminars and other education courses so that the skills or the realtors are perfected as professionals. Research projects are also under the purview of the REBNY including studying the real-time conditions of residential and commercial properties in the city. The REBNY also maintains a comprehensive data-base with the largest collection of information related to real estate available at the Seymour B. Durst library, which is found at the REBNY office in mid-town Manhattan. |
