Summer League Rules

Summer League Policies:

Gameplay: Games are to 15 with halftime at 8.  One timeout per half plus one floater.  11th edition UPA rules are in effect.  Spirit of the game is the first and most important rule of summer league!

Liability:
WAIVERS MUST BE SIGNED PRIOR TO PLAY.  It is the captain's and the player's duty to ensure waivers are signed before anyone plays in a game.

Parking / Driving:
It is absolutely imperative that cars are parked according to the rules.  Park as far to the side of the road as possible, in order to allow the farmer access to his property.  We have had complaints in the past and do not want to lose access to these fields!

When driving on Elm St, it is also imperative that you GO SLOW!  We have had neighbors complain in the past, and we do not want to lose access to these fields due to speeding.

Women "Pick-Up" Policy:
In an effort to encourage more gender balance during games, we allow registered women to pick-up with other teams upon that team's captain's request.  Women may not pick up if their team has a game that night, and women may only pick up once per team.  Please use the forum to indicate your interest (in picking up or being picked up).

Picking up women should be agreed upon by both captains, and should only be done if women are absent from that team (i.e. don't pick up if 4 or 5 women show up already.  They deserve the playing time.)

Only women registered in summer league are eligible to pick up.  Do not allow non-league women to play.  It is both a liability issue and a fairness issue (as they haven't paid like the rest of us).

Incliment Weather:
Games may be cancelled due to rain at any time.  If it has been raining all day, check here for updates around 3 or 4 pm on game day.  If it begins raining heavily during games, captains must be responsible and stop play if the fields are being damaged in any way.  All games must be cancelled if thunder / lightning is observed.

Rescheduling Games:
Captains may agree to rescheule rained-out games to future dates.  To do so, find available field space on the schedule, and tell the CUC Board of your intentions, so that the schedule can be updated.
