A NOBODY
songwriter
learns a few rules real fast. Like if you want to play your own material in a beer joint, it's not enough for the songs to be good. They'd better pack a punch, better be contagious, and it sure won't hurt to make somebody laugh now and then.  Conley Knott has learned these lessons well.

Conley tracked for years through sporadic garage bands and acoustic unions hacking out standard rock & roll covers.  Twice, he laid down the guitar altogether.  Then he stumbled into that slice of Americana where alt-country, folk and the blues drink the same draft.  And suddenly the songs came.  When he'd gathered up a mess of them, Conley hauled those songs down into the beer joints where he honed them into the sackful of original music you hear today, always peppered with hook punch and swing.

Catch Conley around Birmingham hammering his road-worn Martin guitar strapped to a harp-loaded bandolier. He also doubles on mandolin and bass, when chance collaboration presents. Help yourself to some of his music now at www.ConleyKnott.com.
