Dear Conant Band Students and Parents,
It is with a heavy heart to report that on Thursday evening, March 22, 2012, Conant Band Alumni Allison Zak passed away.
Allison played clarinet in band for all four years while at Conant High School and continued to be involved in music after high school as a member of ISU’s Big Red Marching Machine. She was a dedicated member to Conant Band and an outstanding student. Allison will be missed.
Additional information on funeral arrangements may be found at:

On behalf of the Conant Band teachers and the Music Department at James B. Conant High School, our hearts go out to Allison’s family on their loss.

Pep Band Season has arrived! The Conant Band Pep Band plays at all "prime-time" games for both girls and boys varsity basketball (usually a Friday or Saturday night). To see the 2011-12 PEP BAND Schedule, click here.
All Band Members should have signed up for one of the three bands that rotate throughout the Pep Band season. All Band students are required to attend, at minimum, their assigned band. Attendance will be taken at all performances. If a student cannot make one of their assigned band dates, it is student's responsibility to find a substitute from the same instrument section from another band to cover their spot. Any questions please see Mr. Moorhouse.
Like always, students may attend as many games as they wish. The bigger the band, the bigger the sound, the better we sound!
The themes listed on the schedule have been a long standing tradition for Conant Band. As we cheer on our Conant Cougars, we bring a little fun, variety and unity with our Bando's dressing up for the theme of the game. The more creative, the better! Of course, dressing up for the themes is optional. Students who opt out the theme may wear their "Conant Band" shirt instead. Either way, we have a lot of fun supporting our Varsity Basketball Teams!
Here's to a great Pep Band season!
