Assignment purposes

  • To encourage and reward active participation in scheduled class periods and team meetings
  • To hold members accountable to one another for contributing to each other's encouragement and learning
  • To enable a fair assessment of individual members' contributions to the final Team Website and Presentation

  1. Attendance & Punctuality to class and group meetings, and online peer communication as needed
  2. Contributing questions, relevant information, and insight on readings and lectures, thematic research projects.
  3. Teamwork, collaboration, advice, organization and coordination
  4. Active, responsive and respectful listening to the contributions of others
  5. Appropriate response to challenges, misunderstandings, conflicts. Shows patience, openness to learning, and makes use of resources
  6. Describe how you interacted with Carmen and made use of her presence/assistance.
  7. To what degree were Carmen's coaching roles helpful to you and your team's learning?
  8. To what degree did you use Erin and Zoe/Buffy's feedback and guidance in class?

Ratings

0 = poor. Not only a lack of contribution but an overall negative impact on others
1 = less than satisfactory. Less than normal effort and/or quality, at no loss to others.
2 = satisfactory. A dutiful effort, but of minimal or mixed value to others' learning
3 = good. Both a noticeable effort and a noticeable positive contribution to peer learning
4 = very good. A sustained, intelligent and valuable contribution to several others' learning
5 = outstanding. Over and above "very good" -- an unexpected benefit to many.
