Andy Warhol once said: "In the future, everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes." Weekly bylines in Fifteen Minutes (FM) come with their own sort of notoriety. FM, The Harvard Crimson's weekend magazine, defines campus culture. From Ad Board reform to Widener's porn collection, the magazine covers a unique mix of the people, places, things and trends that drive college, while putting Harvard in its larger context. Above all, FM sets the tone for weekend conversation. Over our 10-week comp, writers will learn FM style at weekly comp seminars, attend Tuesday writers meetings, cut loose at FM happy hours, and write and edit articles under the guidance of our unbelievably attractive executive board. Check out the comp requirements to become a part of The Crimson's most-read board. And sign up here. Ultimately, it doesn't matter what drew you to the weekend magazine of The Harvard Crimson. What matters is that you stick around, learn some skills, interview some crazies, write some stories, and have fun doing it. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail the comp directors, Emily and Patrick, at ecgraff10@college.harvard.edu and dpknoth@fas.harvard.edu. And just remember. FM works because you do (work it, that is). |
