Some people may have noticed that using the full tk domain ( http://www.completesoftmodguide.tk) no longer works.
Well, that's due to Dot.Tk removing my domain. The reason I got is that there's an error "somewhere on the site" (yeah, that info helps ...). Still searching and no problems found yet, so I'm starting to doubt their reasons...
I can re-register the domain in a few weeks, but I doubt I'm going to do so. Maybe I'm redirecting it to some google docs pages to tell visitors it got cancelled or whatever...
Perhaps I should reconsider getting a real domain now. If anyone knows a good registrar with good DNS management & stuff, let me know ;)
Update: My other domain (completesg.tk) has also been removed now (and Sedoparked). Well, can't say I didn't see that one coming... If you ever want a free domain from Dot.tk, know that they can do this to you just like that...
Update 2: I also just found out http://softmod.org redirects to this site for some reason. Whoever did this, thanks! You can use that URL I guess, but I have no idea how long it will last or if the owner likes that. (I'm only posting this to thank him for this ;) )
It was good while it lasted, which wasn't very long unfortunately :P

As you may have noticed, some translations of this guide have been completely reworked. Since they became so expanded and detailed, creating a single page for them on this site wasn't enough...
So now we have different subsites for every translation! Every site can be accessed with it's own URL.
Would you like to translate this guide to a currently unsupported language? Don't wait to contact me (tj_cool) by PM on GBAtemp.net!! If you'd like to help out with an existing translation: no problem either!
Current available Translations: Dutch by glowy and Majroa French by Molodiified (under construction)

Well, it seems Freeforums finally decided to close down my forum for inactivity. Oh well, nothing useful could be found there anyway :P
On another note: I made a new banner for the winter :D

With the release of the New IOS236 Installer, the process of installing a Trucha Patched IOS236 was made way easier. After a little testing, I replaced the Old method with the new IOS236 Installer one. What has changed exactly? - No longer uses DOP-Mii.
- IOS236 Installer uses HW_AHBPROT, so no longer needed to downgrade/restore IOS15. (Also less IOSs to download for Offline steps)
- Now installs the Patched IOS36 in slot 236. This allows you to keep your normal IOS36 clean. Note that you will need to use IOS236 now!
- IOS236 has version checks removed, so you no longer need to remove the Stub IOSs.
- This method should work on ANY Wii as long as you have the latest HBC installed.
The old method will still be available under this link. |

So, vacation has been great! But now it's time to get back in business. So for anyone thinking the site's dead, don't worry!
I'll take a look at the To Do list (and put that back online shortly) and of course I will keep maintaining all pages! Stay tuned I'd say ;)

You can now access this site using our tk domain: http://www.completesoftmodguide.tk/ (note that you MUST add the www at the beginning) http://en.completesoftmodguide.tk/ should also work.
Note that this is just an experiment, and we may cancel the new domain or switch to another one :P
To editors: editing may not work with the tk domain, just click "sign in" at the bottom right to switch to the old url ;) |
