These entries all go back to 2005 when the former Co G site was up and running. These were the only things I printed out before that site crashed, so let me transcribe them here.

Dave, do you remember when we asked Sig how do you say give me a snakey little lick in Spanish and he said it was "dame una lambida en culebrada", which translates to "lick my snake". Also, when we had the guerilla warfare practice and some of us were allowed to grow beards and the Gunny in charge of our section asked Sig how you said "I'm a bum" in Spanish and Sig said it was "Yo soy un pato" which means "I am gay". This Gunny went around for two weeks saying he was gay until some local told him what he was saying. The Gunny was not real happy. Go ahead and add tghis to the website. Someone else will probably remember dame una lambida en culebrada. Do you remember how Captain, can't remember his name, executive officer, always walked around work and bummed cigarrettes. Sig got some cigarettes and loaded them up with a bunch of powder and when it went off it left black marks on his face. I will have to admit that even thought I did not like him very well he took it like a man. Did not bum cigarettes after that. Do you remember, Bruce, when we hit the pot hole in the road in my 57 Chevy. You were driving. I bet Sherm remembers bringing us a tire.

 

Dave Bruce--I certainly do remember that night and the fact that I was driving. Exton was not thrilled with us as it was after midnight and our company kept complaining so much that we considered leaving them on that road to find their way back to the ferry. But we were kind and considerate, as usual, and kept them with us.

If you went out in the hallway with cubicles on both sides, you could sometimes see Mercado way down the end of the hallway with a grin on his face, standing in a cubicle but leaning out just enough for you to see him running his hand from front to back as if stroking someone's head while he held the imaginary ears.

One day Willie was in his cubicle after just having taken a shower, and had a towel wrapped around him, when in comes the Captain right into his cubicle and gently poked Willie in to tummy and Willie slapped his hand down hard.
