classes begin week of January 11 Welcome to the Community Ballet web site!
Brantly Shapiro has been the artistic director and primary instructor of the Community Ballet program for over 25 years. Ballet technique classes are offered to kindergarten through high school aged children from Winston-Salem and the surrounding communities in the dance studio of the Scales Fine Arts Center at Wake Forest University. Pointe classes are offered to upper level students.
Placement auditions for upper levels typically take place before the Fall semester begins. New students are welcome to begin classes in the Spring semester without an audition. Appropriate class placement can be determined by arrangement.
