Tour One PHA Walking Tour ‘Disappearing
Melbourne', is a
walk around the top end of Melbourne's CBD. Be entertained and
enlightened as members of the Professional Historians Association (Vic)
divulge secrets from Melbourne's past – suffrage, temperance and the
'demon drink', the multicultural community of Little Bourke Street and
the Queen Vic Hospital. Many of these secrets have been revealed through Oral
History.

Meet under the La Trobe statue
in front of the State Library of Victoria at 1pm sharp, return to the
Library Conference Centre by 2:30pm, tour limited to 25 people maximum

| Tour Two The Australian Lesbian & Gay Archive - Melbourne Walking Tour The Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives will be leading a tour to reveal, and to revel in, the secret histories of queer Melbourne. From cross-dressing saints to nineteenth century same-sex marriages; from coffee shops to Cathedrals and Myer’s. This is a very much queerer city than you might think. A taste of the history that they don’t teach us at school! Tour Leader: Graham Willett, ALGA.
