I remember the day I realised I needed glasses, I was in Marks and Spencers, and had just bumped into (no pun intended) an old friend who was sporting new specs. He... needed them for distance, he said, "I think I do", I added..."try them on!" he chirruped. I could see all the signage so clearly it was amazing! I then spent a while lifting them above my eyes then dropping them back down to compare the view. What a silly sosij..I wondered why I hadn't been able to find 'men's vests' in the fresh flower section!
