SUVCW The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War was organized in 1881. The Sons of Union Veterans is the only male organization recognized by and representing the Grand Army of the Republic. Today the Sons of Union Veterans honor the memory of those gallant soldiers, sailors, marines, and revenue cutters that served during our Nation’s greatest test. If you are a descendant of a Union soldier, sailor, marine, or revenue cutter, you are invited to join the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
Eligibility for membership
Lineal: All male descendants through either paternal or maternal lineage, not less than 14 years
Junior: All male descendants through either paternal or maternal lineage, not less than 8 years of age, but no older than 14. Junior members pay no dues, but cannot vote or hold office. Associate: No lineage required. Each Camp may have 1 associate for every 4 lineal members
Dues Dues are $30.00 per year with a onetime application fee of $10.00. This includes a subscription to the Banner, the news letter of our organization. Thank you for inquiring about our organization.
