COME SKATE WITH US! FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE Contact Us or e-mail ColliervilleSpeedTeam@gmail.com Practice is essential for every skater. Whether you are a competing skater or a recreational skater, practices will give you the skills you need to become the next champion or to achieve your goals in fitness. We encourage everyone to come to every practice, whether indoor or outdoor. Your family is also encouraged to come join you at practice. We are a family friendly skating team and hope to see moms, dads, grandparents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles! The following items are list of things you must have at every practice, and some suggestions of extra's you may need: Things YOU MUST bring to practice: 1 - Signed Release Form - Skaters must sign a release waiver which is good for practices and races. If you are under 18 your parents must sign for you. See "Forms" page to print waiver. 2 - Helmet - Everyone must have an ANSI/SNELL approved helmet. You can pick one up at Wal-Mart, Target, or your local bike shop. You WILL NOT be allowed to practice without a helmet! 3 - Skates - Quads or Inline skates are acceptable. It's ok if you don't have the latest and greatest pair of skates, we will work with whatever you have. 4 - Athletic or Tennis Shoes - Dress shoes are not appropriate because our off skate exercises require the use of tennis or athletic shoes. During the summer, remember not to wear sandals. 5 - Athletic Attire - We want to make sure you are comfortable. You will sweat and it's usually on the warm side in the rink! Make sure you bring something comfortable such as shorts and a t-shirt, your spandex skin suit, or under armour. Revealing or inappropriate clothing is not allowed! Things YOU SHOULD bring to practice: 1 - Water or Sports Drink - you will need this for re-hydration! 2 - Extra Socks - In the event you develop blisters on your feet or ankles, an extra pair of socks will really help out! 3 - Bandages, Medical Tape, Cotton Swabs - These can also help just in case you get blisters, or are nursing an existing blister. It will keep your feet from rubbing against your skate. 4 - Skate bag - any bag will do, just big enough to fit your skates and accessories in.
