    Starts Saturday 10 AM SHARP. Registrations from 9am.

    Please contact me to register so we can notify you if there are any changes to the event.

    Free entry for Canoe WA Members. Non-members $10.00.

    • Starts at Central Collie Bridge, (where the Collie Adventure race starts from.)
    • Finishes at the Black Diamond bridge. (On the south side of the Black Diamond swimming hole near Alanson, about 5 km east of Collie. It's where Black Dicks road meets the river.)
    • All participants must be self supported.  Make yourself familiar with the course. There will be a few people along the course to assist at hazardous areas but not to the same extent as for the Avon Descent. Be careful.
    • Distance is about 16.5 km.

    Open Street Map (OSM) Shows all the bush tracks in the Collie area.

    COURSE DETAILS

    Surf skis and kayaks all ok.

    Helmets and buoyancy vests to be worn for the duration of the event. To same standards as the Avon Descent.ie suitable clothing for cold wet whether conditions.

    The East End Weir (may be paddle through – advised at briefing) and Easycrete Weir (Known locally as Robbos Rock) are compulsory portage points. Breaking of this rule will result in disqualification and banning from participation in future events.

    Of course we are always seeking sponsors for prizes and safety crews. We don't require a lot but any support will be welcome.

     

    Please register your intent to compete (maximum 45 paddlers). Recommended for experienced and physically fit white water paddlers.
