The Campsite Team hope that this site will be useful for reference and finding out a little more. We are a very friendly bunch and hope that you enjoy the site, and more importantly enjoy your stay at or visit to Collard Bridge Scout Campsite (Snapper, North Devon). We are located not far from civilisation, but far enough away for a tranquil escape. We have a variety of sites for Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Networks and Fellowship/Scout Active Support to enjoy camping. Beavers are also very welcome for day visits. Our site can be used for all of your camp as we have on-site activities and facilities that can provide a good camp programme. We are also ideal as a base for exploring the wonderful sites and facilities of North Devon. Our on-site activities can be found on our on-site activities page in North Devon we have whole host of off-site activities and attractions nearby. We are also members of the Association of Scout & Guide Centres (ASGC).
Many enjoy the peace and tranquility of our site with many aspects of nature being studied by Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We have Kingfishers that dart along the River Yeo, pairs of buzzards that soar overhead, screeching owls and dashing pheasants all through the site. We even have our Kingfishers that dart up and down along the river - amazing to see. Those of you who are quiet enough and have an exploration early in the morning will see our family of deer on site, if not you can see their tracks later in the day.
Each of our sites have different characteristics - some with woods nearby, close proximity to the toilets or the option for green field camping. Please note that not all of our sites can have fires on them. Please see our campsites page for details. ![]() |
