Introduction

This practical workshop combines the science of AimPoint Green Reading with the art of attentional focus. Putting contributes significantly to every golfer’s score. This unique workshop will teach you how to both accurately read greens and determine where to aim a putt, in conjunction with learning a psychological framework to develop a disciplined mental routine which keeps your focus on the AimPoint under pressure.

Concentrate. Focus. Stay Present. Words often and easily spoken but do you know HOW to stay present? What is it and WHERE is your focus under pressure? Is your focus on what you are looking at or what you are thinking about? Which takes priority? Are you an outcome or target oriented putter? They are very different psychologically and significantly influence your ability to putt consistently in competitive situations.

This workshop explains in detail why golfers rarely identify the AimPoint accurately today or maintain focus on it when putting. After learning how to establish the AimPoint through an explanation of why putts break the direction and the amount they do, the art of putting lies in learning how to maintain a mental focus on the AimPoint when executing. Erroneous thoughts in the pre-shot will remove the AimPoint focus instantly.

This seminar will explain why, where, when and how to guide a golfer’s conscious mind throughout their entire pre-shot, transition and post-shot putting routines with the goal of putting smoothly at the AimPoint. Understanding how the mind processes visual, external and internal auditory information and how to control that which you are attending to in mind is critical to success. This is ultimately where golf performance lives.
