Are you on FACEBOOK? Become a fan of my page Colette van Haaren: Born to Knit!
I love to initiate absolute beginners into the
crafts of knitting and crocheting. I get my students started on easy
projects and I adapt, as much as possible, my teaching to each
student's skill level and interests. This means that, whether a class
consists of four or twenty participants, students work on
different projects, in different styles, and at different levels. These pieces are especially appealing to new mothers - there is no danger when the baby grabs a textile necklace and a Möbius-style shoulder shrug or a poncho can be used to hide the baby from sight when breastfeeding in public. Textile necklaces also afford those with allergies to metals a way to wear bold jewelry.
