What The Parish Council DoesCold Higham Parish Council covers the three villages of Cold Higham, Grimscote and Fosters Booth. It is responsible for managing some of the amenities and facilities of the villages, liaising with other governmental bodies and representing the views of local residents. In Cold Higham the council's responsibilities include the management of the cemetery (not to be confused with the adjoining churchyard which surrounds St Luke's Church), the small triangle of land at the corner of Banbury Lane and Church Lane, notice boards, and street lighting. Matters concerning St Luke's Church are the responsibility of the Parochial Church Council. The Village Hall is owned and managed by a separate independent trust. The Parish Council meets approximately every six weeks to consider matters relevant to its responsibilities and discuss correspondence received from other local government bodies and related agencies. An Annual Parish Meeting is held each year, usually in April. Residents of the parish are free to attend any meeting.
