South of England Cross Country Championships Brighton
Cooke and Watts show talent
A handful of Colchester Harriers juniors made the long journey to Brighton to compete in the regional Cross Country Championship in star studded fields. K J Watts delivered her normal excellent race coming home in 56th in the under 15 event, while a ever improving Rebecca Cooke was good value in 46th spot in the under 20 event. Mollie Huggins was 64th in the under 17 girls, while Connor Price worked hard for 112th in the under 17 men. Harriers Devon based pairing of  Sarah Ivory and Chris Sellens both ran very well in the senior events with Sellens 91st, and Ivory 60th.   

Colchester Harrier Juniors had a very early start to get to the South of England Championship in Brighton. In the under 15 Girls event first Harrier was K-J Watts who had a very good run to finish in 56th place.  Also running well in this fiercly competitive race were charlotte Head 102 and Joy Huggins 171.
Under 17 Women - the improving Molly Huggins finished 64th
Under 17 Men  -  Connor Price ran well to finish 112th.
 
Thank you to the parents who supported the Club by getting the athletes to this event and enabling then to gain valuable experience at this level of competition.
