Two of Colchester Harriers throwers took part in the first, of a series of Four, winter throws competitions organised by Thetford AC at the West Suffolk track Bury st Edmunds... Competing in the Senior mens Discus Rob Earle threw 42.25m, a pleasing result which places him in a good position to focus on one last pb...! Fifteen year old James Hamblin excelled in the under 17 mens Hammer, exceeding his pb from 2011 on no fewer than four throws, the culmination of which was a massive three metre improvement to a pleasing 55.61m, a throw which leads the fledgling power of 10 UK rankings for 2012. This is a great start to the year, which should produce throws past the magic 60m barrier. It also a reflection of his meticulous preparation, and positive attitude in training, ably supported by the Harriers coaching team. |
