Colchester Harriers running machine Allen Smalls continued to knock top quality race out with a 6th position and first veteran award at the tough Gloucester 50km road race. Smalls who has already won two marathons in 2012 and won the veteran award in the senior cross Country Championships at Basildon, decided to take on the Gloucester race as another training run towards his 100km goal of ducking under 7 hours in hopefully the world Championships this year. Although tired from his efforts in the previous 3 weeks Smalls still passed the Marathon point in 2-45 and continued to clock 3-16 for the 31 miles a good result , last year Smalls was second in 3-09.
