The South of England Indoor Championships  started at Lee Valley indoor arena at the weekend, where the age group combined events championships were run alongside the first Senior individual events.

Charlotte Head performed well in her first ever indoor Under 17 women’s Pentathlon, she put in fine performances in the 60m hurdles in a time of 11.01s, the High Jump, where she cleared 1.41m, the shot, with a put of 5.53m, the Long Jump, where she jumped 4.17m and in the 800m where she stormed round in 2min 38secs.

Chloe Young and Heather Shepherd stretched their legs in the 300 and 400m races, as did Connor Price and Rob Clarke, who produced a personal best of 55.31secs.

Louis Persent also also tested himself over 400m winning his heat and semi final, clocking a good indoor season opening time of 48.61secs.
