A BIG THANKYOU

To all Colchester Harriers members and volunteers, who braved the elements and gave their assistance at the Essex 20 Championships yesterday. Without their help hosting a race like this would be impossible.
Over 500 runners entered the race in adverse conditions. Margaret and her team of willing helpers provided refreshments for all. No mean feat. Monies raised will help to support our growing number of junior members, coaching staff and athletes.
Langham Village Community Associations were very helpful and supportive throughout, facilities at Langham are superb, and the Village and our Club are looking forward to our celebrations there in June.
Personal thanks to Dave Lacy and John Carter who spent over 3 hours early on Sunday morning setting up the course and removing all signs afterwards.
The water stations and car parking was supervised by Langham Scouts and the CEDS Tsunami Explorer Scout Unit, based at The Arena. They did a great job in difficult conditions without complaint. Special thanks to them.
We have already been asked to host the race again in 2013, with your help we can make it even more successful regardless of the weather.
