Emergent Creatives
Emergent Creatives is our Arts
micro-Community. The vision is to see local communities in Preston and
our wider society enriched by new works
of music, film, literature and other forms of art and media including new media (computer generated).
Emergent Creatives is about seeking to explore and express the
heartbeat of spirituality in ways which people, of all faiths and non,
can
potentially relate to and identify with.

Emergent Creatives is
our arts community made up of artists who seek to create and showcase
works of art and media which explore themes that highlight our world's
need for justice, equality, peace, compassion, creation care and a
truly inclusive and holistic Christian faith that offers genuine good news to individuals,
societies and the planet as a whole.
Faith Community :
There's no 'them' - there's only 'us'
Codia is working with the Oasis Church Network to create a socially inclusive community of faith for artists and ordinary people in the city of Preston, Lancashire. This community will be called 'Codia Church'.

Our mission is not
to create an exclusive club with a membership policy saying who's in
and who's out. Our purpose is to strive towards convincing people that
the church is meant to be the only club in the world which exists for
the benefit of its non-members as well as its members.
We are committed to
being a community without walls, where the message of Jesus unites us
in an effort to highlight and counter the inequalities and injustices
we see in our communities and wider society.
We hope that, as we seek
to demonstrate our faith through inclusive community and positive
action, the unifying and universal message of Jesus is manifest in our
activities and language, making it known that we aspire to
welcoming, respecting and dignifying people of all faiths and none.
