School Site Council and English Learners Advisory Council

Our elections for SSC and ELAC Parent/Community members will be Sept. 19 at 1 pm (Orientation) and Sept. 27 (Election) at 9 am. The Orientation will be at San Julian and the Election at three sites (all at 9 am): San Julian, Fleming site, and Sun Valley Site. We need at least 21 parents for the election for it to be valid. Whooping Cough Vaccinations Required for students by September 7, 2011!

All students entering the seventh through 12th grades must provide proof of a whooping cough immunization before they can enroll in classes. To encourage compliance with the new state law, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and other agencies will offer several free clinics for schools scheduled to start in early August. Students must have a completed LAUSD immunization consent form and their current immunization record to receive the whooping cough booster. Additional LAUSD clinics will be scheduled prior to the opening of additional schools because many students have not brought proof of immunization or need the booster shot before entering school. You can access the list of clinics on the LAUSD website at www.lausd.net, City of Angels website at www.cityofangelsschoolk12.net, at our central offices at 1449 South San Pedro St in Los Angeles, CA 90015. We will also be mailing the list of clinics to City of Angels families. Please also see below.

The vote is in! We are the City of Angels Wolves! Our school colors are Navy Blue and Grey! Thank you the leadership class for organizing the election and to all who voted and participated in the process. Long live the City of Angels Blue and Grey Wolves!  Fight on!

WASC Share-out at 3:00 pm, 4-12-11 at COAS Offices

The WASC Share-out will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday, NOT 3:15 pm, at our San Julian Offices at 1449 South San Pedro St., Lsoa Angeles, CA 90015.  We will meet in the SJ Testing Center. I don't want you to drive all the way to San Julian and miss it because it's a little earlier than published. 

Thanks again to our entire school community for a wonderful job on the entire WASC process!
