I am sad to have to tell you that after a courageous year and a half battle with cancer, Greg passed away peacefully at our home in San Jose on Friday June 10, 2011 at 12:30PM. 

Greg touched the lives of many people with his endless love of teaching kids, and his magnetic energy.  He was a loving and devoted husband and father.  He will be greatly missed by all his family and Friends. 

The Memorial Service will take place on June 15, 2011 Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Holy Family Parish, 4848 Pearl Avenue San Jose, CA 95136.  A reception to celebrate his life will follow at Holy Family Community Center.

While watching his son Troy playing in a tournament championship baseball game on October 11, 2009,
Greg had a seizure for the first time in his life.  What followed was a rapid series of tests and scans that
revealed a tumor, led to a quick decision to have surgery, and landed the Burg family in the
midst of a medical battle.  To make a long story short, the family received news that Greg has brain cancer. 
He has put together this site in order to keep friends and family up to date on his treatment and health.
