Club Welto 6 @ The Village Bar, Leith, Edinburgh, Fri 6th Jun 2008, 8pm-1am

As summer was meant to be upon us all the little Weltoes got into their bikinis and speedoes and

headed merrily to The Village on 6th June for Club Welto 6 - A Leith Festival Special. As usual,

entry was FREE so everyone kicked off their weekend off in fine style the Welto way alongside:

In April we returned to the Village with the following top turns performing for your delectation for

absolutely nothing unless you wanted to chuck a couple of quid in the bucket to help us cover the

Taking advantage of the leap year's extra day, Club Welto took a wee trek across town to

Edinburgh College of Art's Wee Red Bar for another fun-packed night of free music with this merry

band of musical minstrels entertaining the crowd :

Club Welto #4 @ The Village Bar, Leith, Edinburgh - Fri 8th Feb 2008, 8pm-1am

Following the amazing success of Club Welto #3 which saw the Village's bar takings record broken, Welto returned to its spiritual home on February 8th 2008 for another top evening of live music, spoken word and DJs featuring :

* HMS Ginafore (Fence Records)

* Wounded Knee (Benbecula Records) - experimental vocal loops and effects

* Sanna - organic-electronic, layered melodies, effects and beats

* Rodney Relax - spoken word

Club Welto #3 @ The Village Bar, Leith, Edinburgh - Fri 23rd Nov 2007, 8pm-1am

Club Welto returned to The Village for another round of free live music, spoken

word, DJs and general Weltoness with the following acts performing for your

listening pleasure :

    The Welto Compere by Scotty B

    Back in November, in this very spot

    Stood a drunken Welto, whose name was Scott

    I'd given them plenty of warning of my inebriated state

    I'd been drinking since four, on a leaving night for Kate

    My job was the compere, to keep the night flowing

    But I'd had too many shandies and god was it showing

    The first act was ready and I took the mic

    But I forgot the act's name, what the f*ck am I like?

    It was downhill from there, for the drunken tw*t

    Two Flatliners wi big Mark Made sure of that

    When the next act was ready, I was nowhere to be seen

    Thank f*ck for Nobby, at least he was keen

    The rest of the night, well it's a bit of a blur

    But a good time was had, I'm sure you'll concur

    The moral of the story, I'm sure you'll agree

    If you're needing a compere, for f*ck's sake dinnae ask me!

Club Welto #2 @ The Village Bar, Leith, Edinburgh - Fri 14th Sept 2007, 8pm-1am

Moving on from the Roseleaf Bar the first Club Welto at The Village featured :

Club Welto #1 @ The Roseleaf Bar, Leith, Edinburgh - Fri 17th Aug 2007, 8pm-1am

The first Club Welto took place at the award-winning Roseleaf Bar and featured :
