Effective libraries need effective managers and leaders. The Cloverville Public Library encourages all its employees to use opportunities to improve their management and leadership skills. This page is intended to provide a collection of links to available library management and leadership training opportunities. You are welcome to add links to any additional training opportunities related to library management and leadership that you think might be of interest to other CPL employees.






ONLINE COURSES
& WORKSHOPS
        WebJunction offers a variety of library management courses. Topics include Advocacy & Outreach, Budget & Finance, Facilities                Management, Friends & Trustees, Funding, Marketing, and Policies & Procedures. Course Format: Self-paced. Fees: $40.
        Amigos training courses cover an array of topics important to libraries. Examples of management type courses include Reference            Management or Digital Project Planning & Management Basics. Course Format: on-request online courses for individual learners.               Fees: $200 for Amigo members and $250 for non-members.




CERTIFICATION & GRADUATE PROGRAMS
(ALA-APPROVED)
        The Certified Public Library Administrator program is a voluntary post-MLS certification program for public librarians with three            years or more of supervisory experience.
        This graduate program is geared at library leaders who do not hold a Master's degree. Examples include library directors of public            libraries, branch librarians, or senior-supervisors of library staff.
