ABOUT The Cloverville Public Library Health & Safety Committee collaborates to encourage and sustain a healthy and safe workplace and workforce. The committee coordinates an annual Wellness Fair that is open to staff members and the public and grants a quarterly Health & Safety Award to a deserving employee. GOALS
Membership includes eight staff, in addition to a representative from Human Resources. Members serve two-year terms with members rotating on and off each year. The committee members select a chair at the beginning of the planning cycle each year.
NEXT MEETINGS 8/13/09 - 10 am in the staff meeting room 9/9//09 - 1 pm in the staff meeting room HEALTH & SAFETY AWARD The Health & Safety Award is given quarterly to employees that model a healthy lifestyle and/or promote a safe work environment. The award winner is announced at the quarterly all-staff meeting. Nominations are due one week before each all-staff meeting. All nominations will be considered by the Health and Safety Committee. The award winner will receive 3½ hours off with pay to be taken within 7 working days in consultation with the employee’s supervisor. The time off is to be used to foster personal health and work place safety.Current Health & Safety Committee members are ineligible to win this award. The nomination form is attached to this page. Completed nominations should be returned by the due date on the form to the Health & Safety Committee's Human Resources representative. |
